The proposed project aims to improve traffic flow and safety along Ossie Davis Parkway by implementing a grade separation from the two CSX rail lines. This will be achieved by constructing a new bridge spanning approximately 0.5 miles, effectively eliminating the current at-grade railroad crossings. The new bridge is designed to significantly reduce the substantial traffic delays frequently caused by passing trains, thereby improving mobility and connectivity for the surrounding area.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
