To address increasing traffic and improve safety, the N.C. Department of Transportation plans to convert the railroad crossing at Hilltop Road in Greensboro to a grade separation. This project will reduce the risk of collisions between vehicles and trains by creating a safer way for traffic to cross the tracks.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
