This project will widen the existing 4.7-mile roadway to a four-lane road with 12-foot lanes, 10-foot shoulders, and a flush median that will be between 4 and 14 feet wide.
Currently, the road varies from two to four lanes, and the median width changes from 0 to 14 feet. The project will also impact the existing right-of-way, which is currently 100 feet wide but expands to 170 feet near the bridge over the Seventeen Mile River (ID 069-0004-0). The new right-of-way will be between 162 and 170 feet.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
