State Route (SR) 15 Widening and West Warthen Bypass - Part 1
Project ID: 0008018
Construction Year: 2029
State: GA Counties: Washington
Entity: Georgia Department of Transportation
Georgia's Department of Transportation (GDOT) wants to hear from you about two proposed road projects in Washington County.
The first project would widen State Route (SR) 15 from Ridge Road (County Road 67) to just south of Mt. Zion Road (County Road 43). The second project involves building the West Warthen Bypass, a new road that would run from south of Mt. Zion Road to SR 15.
These projects are part of the Governor’s Road Improvement Program (GRIP), a statewide initiative established in 1989. GRIP aims to improve rural highways to create better connections, promote safer and more efficient travel, and support economic development throughout the state.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
Should you be impacted by this project, we can help. If you are a landowner in the footprint of this project and would like assistance with this process or would like more information regarding your rights relative to eminent domain, condemnation, or easements, please contact us today.
