The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is undertaking a project to replace the existing bridge on State Route (SR) 328 over Gumlog Creek in Franklin County. This bridge, which also crosses a portion of Lake Hartwell, is aging and no longer meets current design standards for load-carrying capacity.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
