The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is proposing a major project to extend State Route 374 and improve a section of State Route 149 west of Clarksville in Montgomery County, Tennessee.

The core of the project involves constructing a new partial access-controlled, multi-lane facility that will extend SR-374 approximately 7.2 miles from SR-149 to SR-76/US 79 (Dover Road). Additionally, improvements are planned for a one-mile segment of SR-149, stretching from River Road to roughly 1,700 feet west of Cumberland Heights Road. All proposed work is located outside the Clarksville city limits.

Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
