New Buffer-Separated Express Lanes Along I-285 from Henderson Road to I-20

Project ID: 0013914
Construction Year: 2029
State: GA Counties: DeKalb

Entity: Georgia Department of Transportation

The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) and the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) are working to improve Georgia's transportation infrastructure, and they're making some changes to how they'll manage the I-285 express lane projects.

They're taking a new approach for these projects, specifically on the I-285 Westside and Eastside Express Lanes. This new plan expands the scope of the projects and shifts more of the financial responsibilities for all the I-285 express lanes from the state to their private sector partners.

This change is part of their effort to deliver the best and most impactful transportation projects for Georgia. Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.

Should you be impacted by this project, we can help. If you are a landowner in the footprint of this project and would like assistance with this process or would like more information regarding your rights relative to eminent domain, condemnation, or easements, please contact us today.
