Construction Year: 2029
State: NC Counties: Catawba, Iredell
Entity: North Carolina Department of Transportation

Widening of NC 150 from the N.C. 16 Bypass to the U.S. 21/N.C. 150 Interchange. Plans are in development to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion along a 15-mile stretch of N.C. 150. The project area extends from the N.C. 16 Bypass in Catawba County to just west of the U.S. 21/N.C. 150 interchange in Mooresville.

The proposed improvements include widening the current two-lane highway to a multilane road. The project would also involve upgrades to the I-77/N.C. 150 interchange in Mooresville. Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
