The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), in collaboration with the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments, plans to improve approximately 1.7 miles of Black River Road (S-12). This section of the road extends from US 521 to an area just east of the Steeplechase Industrial Park entrance.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
