Anderson County is growing quickly, leading to increased demand for electricity. To ensure our customers continue to receive the reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy they deserve, essential upgrades are planned.
The Patriot Transmission Line Project will strengthen the local electric grid and boost capacity for both current and future energy needs. This project includes building a new substation and a new 100-kilovolt (kV) transmission line. The Patriot Substation will be located near the intersection of Mountain Springs Road and Highway 81, and the new line will connect it to the existing energy network.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
