This 0.35-mile infrastructure project in Surry and Yadkin Counties focuses on improving safety and access for all users. The proposed improvements include two new roundabouts at the intersections of West Main Street and Elm Street and Elm Street and North Bridge Street. Additionally, the project will rehabilitate the existing West Main Street bridge over the Yadkin River and add enhanced accommodations for bicyclists and pedestrians along the corridor.
Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
