Kingsland Bypass from CR 61/Vacuna Road to West of I-95

Project ID: 0008666
Construction Year: 2030
State: GA Counties: Camden

Entity: Georgia Department of Transportation

The West Kingsland Bypass Phase 2 project will upgrade the existing 2-lane Laurel Island Parkway/Colerain Road in Camden County, Georgia, into a new, multi-part roadway. The project starts at the intersection of SR 40 and Vacuna Road, continuing northeast along the existing roadway. It will then shift to a new alignment near CR 109, crossing over the railroad and US 17 with a new bridge, before tying into the first phase of the Kingsland Bypass approximately 2,500 feet west of I-95. The new roadway will have two distinct typical sections. The first section, from the beginning of the project to Old Still Road, will feature a rural design with two lanes in each direction, a 32-foot depressed median, and rural shoulders. The second section, from Old Still Road to the project end, will transition to an urban design with a 20-foot raised median, a 5-foot sidewalk on the south side, and a 10-foot multi-use trail on the north side.

Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.

Should you be impacted by this project, we can help. If you are a landowner in the footprint of this project and would like assistance with this process or would like more information regarding your rights relative to eminent domain, condemnation, or easements, please contact us today.
