To accommodate future growth, the N.C. Department of Transportation proposes widening N.C. 73. The project will cover an 8.5-mile stretch, extending from N.C. 16 in Lincoln County to Northcross Drive in Huntersville. Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
