Project ID: 0016515
Construction Year: 2028
State: GA Counties: Fannin

Entity: Georgia Department of Transportation

This project will replace the existing two-lane bridge on State Route (SR) 5 that crosses the Toccoa River in downtown McCaysville, located in Fannin County.

The new bridge will also have two lanes and will be built on the same alignment as the current one. It will include sidewalks and be constructed to modern standards. During the expected three to six months of construction, a temporary offsite detour will be in place for traffic.

Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.

Should you be impacted by this project, we can help. If you are a landowner in the footprint of this project and would like assistance with this process or would like more information regarding your rights relative to eminent domain, condemnation, or easements, please contact us today.
